The Abraham-Hicks material is received by Esther Hicks, who is able to communicate the teachings of Abraham. Abraham is a non-physical being teaching about
the Law of Attraction. Much of the information came about because of the questions asked by Jerry and Esther Hicks.
The Hicks' travel around running seminars, and have written many wonderful books, several of which I have reviewed below.

one of those must have,
basic spiritual teaching books everyone should read or have in their bookshelf! (Well thats my opinion anyway!)
It is pretty meaty for those who may not be familiar with the Law of Attraction, but Abraham has given Ester Hicks a series of
processes to work with and an emotional guidance ranking system, which is really useful to help us work
(or allow as Abraham would say!) our way closer to what we want to create.
I am a firm believer in having a toolkit - when we are in the midst of reacting to a situation or telling ourselves our mad or sad story,
we need to have a quick grab bag of simple processess to help shift the energy. You may never use all the exercises in Ask and It Is Given,
but even if you use one or two, you will have a fantastic resource at your fingertips.
I've read thousands of books, and the Abraham-Hicks,
Ask and It Is Given
is one of the best books teaching the Law of Attraction I have ever come across.

covers in a bit more depth, one of the main concepts from Ask and It Is Given.
Abraham, via Ester Hicks, gives clear examples and guidances for how we can use our emotions as the key to bringing our chronic thoughts to consciousness.
Of course, that also means we can use the power of emotions to charge our deliberate thoughts, heading us rapidly downstream, riding those rapids and
having as much fun on the way!
The metaphor of a stream is one you will encounter often in the Abraham-Hicks material - the idea being going with the flow and
floating downstream is going to get us where we want to go, rather than paddling frantically upstream and wondering why we are getting further away from what we want.
In The Astonishing Power of Emotions, Abraham gives actual examples of how you can shift your thoughts bit by bit, and use your emotions as your
guidances on how you are travelling.

The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent
concentrates more on the art of allowing.
Basically getting out of our own way to allow the abundance to come to us that we have been asking for.
Jerry and Esther Hicks have included transcripts of workshops with people asking questions.
Personally I love the real life lets get down and dirty examples of how to put all this into practice.
I get their CDs on a regular basis, and I learn more from the stories and questions people ask, than from just the straight teachings.
On the other hand, my husband always finds the teaching segment more inspirational. Isn't it great to have both!
Money and the Law of Attraction

This Abraham-Hicks publication was written in answer to many of the more chronic questions that are asked.
Issues such as ill health or not enough money are tricky ones to go with the flow,
it is SOOOOO hard sometimes to turn our attention away from what appears to be real! Pain or not enough money to pay a bill are pretty demanding realities!
I have to confess I haven't finished reading
Money and the Law of Attraction
yet, it is in my pile of books by my bed!
Many of my clients, particularly if one partner is stopping work to start a family, have issues around money (or the lack of it!).
I have skim read it and I think those of us who have issues about money and health will find this book inspiring.
I find with all the Abraham-Hicks material, there appears to be things I missed the first time round.
The processes just take us to another level, and we can never stop getting better! So I am really looking forward to sinking my teeth properly into this one!

Sara Learns the Secret about the Law of Attraction
Sara, Book 2 : Solomon's Fine Featherless Friends
Sara, Book 3: A Talking Owl Is Worth a Thousand Words!
Jerry and Esther Hicks (and of course Abraham!) have written three fictional books based around the character
Sara and how she learns about the Law of Attraction.
Sara has a wise mentor in the form of an owl, Solomon who coaches her through various challenges, helping her to stay connected to her stream of wellbeing.
The books use many examples and stories that would be common to us all, not just children, as a way of demonstrating putting the law of Attraction in to practice.
For example, teaching Sara that showering her Aunt Zoe with Joy was not going to work if she saw her Aunt as crippled, old and alone.
That by seeing people or the world as damaged and needs fixing, is not going to contribute to well being for anyone.
Sara learns she is the one in charge of her own happiness, and learns to focus on what gives her joy.
The Sara books present the Law of Attraction in fun, easy concepts, and have an appeal for adults as well as children.
As a parent it can be hard sometimes to teach these ideas to our kids, so these stories are a great way to introduce the law of Attraction to anyone.
You can also get the stories on CD, so you can play them in the car with your kids!
Abraham and The secret behind The Secret

Some of you would have heard the controversy around The Secret.
The original version of The Secret was filmed during the 2005 Alaskan Well-Being cruise with Abraham,
Jerry and Ester Hicks and revolved around the teachings of Abraham.
Due to changes in the distribution of the secret, Rhonda Byrne and her team required changes
to the contractual agreement. Jerry and Esther Hicks, in consultation with Abraham couldn't agree to
this and subsequently they were edited out of the secret and a second version was filmed.
The original version is still available sometimes online plus Esther and Jerry Hicks have put together a DVD,

with
information that they believe was missing from the secret, along with interviews sharing how the Abraham relationship developed.

The Secret was a great introduction to the Law of Attraction, but to my mind skims over some important concepts.
