Clearance Childrens Books: A GREAT Way to Get More Books!

VERY Cheap Childrens Books

I wanted to put this up among our reviews because it is such a fantastic way to buy lots of childrens books at a fraction of the retail price.

These are all great books, they simply have stopped being published, so we can buy them at at a hugely discounted rate. Definitely check out their promotional page, because they often run a kids promotion, which means hundreds of books for just ONE dollar!

Now don't do what I did, and go crazy! I would suggest you set a budget before you visit! $50.00 will buy you a LOT of books. There are not only Cheap Childrens Books, but there are some very good parenting books also, and just thousands of craft or hobby books. And of course fiction - really, anything you would find in a book store!

I'm also asking my readers to join me in donating books to an organization called Reading To Kids.

They run an awesome program in Los Angeles where volunteers read to children who don't have access to books. Some of these kids do not even own ONE book. They donate books to families and set up libraries for these kids to access books.

We just take it for granted that our kids have access to books, I can't imagine a home without heaps of stories.

There are lots of ways you can help if you live in the area, and other ways to donate, but I figured if we all bought $20 worth of books and sent them that would be a great way to make the world a better place, one book at a time! (And if you can get 20 books for $20, even better!)

I'm making it part of my regular donations, books are very dear to my heart and if I can support people who are working to instill a love of reading into a child, it is wonderful to be able to help.

I'm a teacher and have taught overseas for large stints of time and know how much books are valued by children who have none. One precious book will be shared by dozens of kids.

I'm going to send some books to the reading organization you mentioned, but also since these clearance books are so cheap, I am going to take a bunch with me next time I go to teach kids that have nothing but big hearts.

Current Promotion Still Has $1 Childrens Books

I have just checked Book Closeouts current promotion and they are still running their $1 childrens books.

There are heaps of teen or young teen books, some young kids books, but also some odd things like sticker books, certificates, and some non fiction books.

It takes a fair while to scroll through all the pages - I think I covered about 20 pages, (and this is just the $1 section!) and my shopping cart was getting a bit full!

Of the books I am sending to Reading for Kids (see main topic in this thread) I mostly sent young kids books, but also some older ones, as I figure if they give a lot away, as well as just read them, then they would want all aged readers.
