Easter Bunny Crafts

Easter Bunny Crafts
This makes a great preschool Easter Craft, although my twelve year old still loves making them. We collect toilet roll tubes for a few months leading up to Easter, then we make lots of Easter Bunny Crafts out of them. I also save ribbons, stickers, buttons, lace or anything that could be used for decorating. It is really simple, you can decorate them however you want, cutting out cardboard ears, using cotton balls for the fluffy Easter Bunny tail. We usually wrap them in coloured card or paper first, or make paper clothes for the Easter Bunny! Some Easter Bunnies have clothes on, some are boys and some are girls. My three year old even made an Easter Bunny Santa one year! I think she was getting a little confused! Sometimes we use fluffy pipe cleaners to shape the ears, or for whiskers, or use thin card or nylon thread or wire for the whiskers. We might draw on the rabbit face, or use cutout card and glue on the shapes. You can buy googly eyes that are fun, and sometimes we make Bunny families. These make great finger puppets, and many an Easter we have sat around watching the kids perform The Grand Easter Bunny Puppet Show! The other thing we do, is close off the bottom of the Easter Bunny, and then fill the center up with little wrapped Easter eggs, or you can just squeeze the marshmallow eggs into the tube. Always use wrapped eggs, since after all it was once a toilet roll! Sometimes we put a hard boiled egg on the top, that we have dyed with Easter Egg Dye. Then we give these Easter Bunnies away as gifts to visiting children or family over Easter. The most we have made in a year was 63 Easter Bunnies! |
Annie RecommendsThere is so much confusing information out there about parenting, it can be hard to know how to cover all bases. If you are worried about your child's development in some areas, or want some ongoing expert parenting tips, then check out Dr Rosina's Inspired Children - Life Skills for Kids. She has a carefully designed membership program that will give you activities and advice, delivered to your inbox each week/fortnight (depending upon membership level). Each activity is designed to help your child develop key life skills like good self esteem, managing emotions and behaviour, health, nutrition, dealing with bullying and so much more.
Benefits for Parents
Dr. Rosina McAlpine is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, and has received numerous awards for her work in education. Her program is a holistic approach to child development spanning 7 key areas of life. I think this is a great resource for busy Moms - it takes ages sifting and sorting what your child needs, or finding a great activity that has a good learning focus for your kids. It covers all bases, and makes it easy to spend quality time with your kids, knowing they are learning valuable skills that will be with them for life. Life Skills For Kids would also make a great resource for homes-schoolers.
Featured SponsorClick N Kids would have to be one of my subscribers most popular programs, and from what they say, it is mostly because the kids have fun while they are learning. In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love. Featured SponsorWall Candy Art
