I use egg wraps for plastic eggs instead of hard boiled eggs. I always thought it was a shame to just boil it over an egg and then rip it off and throw it away.

They work just as well on plastic eggs and the kids get to keep them. They are still having fun hunting their character eggs after Easter is over.

Editors Note: I had never heard of Egg Wraps, so I went looking. I am not sure if these are the ones that Gianna uses - she mentions boiling them? Or is that just boiling the eggs? But it certainly is a great idea to use plastic eggs to keep the wrap.

I remember as a child very carefully peeling off the foil from chocolate eggs and smoothing it out to keep. I had a chocolate box full of beautiful foil pieces.

They are great for craft ideas for kids too - they can cut them into small pieces and make beautiful shiny mosaics out them.

They are the little plastic decorated sleeves that they have in some egg decorating kits. You put them on the eggs, place the egg on a spoon and put it in boiling water for three seconds. The plastic shrinks to make a tight seal around the egg. The kids love watching it happen.
