Easter Party Activity
by Byrony
Happy Easter Party Activity
Hello, One of our Easter Activities every year, is a huge family party, and every family has to bring an Easter Party Activity that we all participate in. We sometimes go away together over Easter, hired a big old house or somewhere with a big space, and all the cousins and brothers and sisters get together for the time and just have fun. Our Easter Party Activity can be anything ranging from a game such as an Easter egg treasure hunt, or an Easter craft activity. Some Easter activities we do every year, such as the treasure hunt, and coloring Easter eggs, but depending on where we are going to be staying there might be something relating to that area. A lot of the Activities are spread over the whole weekend, but we also have 1 day that is our Easter Party day, particularly if it is a year that we have stayed home. Here are some of the ideas we've come up with over the years for our Easter Party Activities: Pin the Tail on the Bunny (just the same as pin the tail on the donkey) - when blindfolded you have to stick the fluffy bunny tail on the bunny. Musical egg chairs. A variation of musical chairs where there is one less chair than dancers, but the catch is there is a raw egg sitting on each chair, so in the rush to grab a chair an egg might get broken! Pass the Parcel - Keep passing the parcel and when the music stops you unwrap 1 layer. But at each unwrapping there is a task or challenge that has to be completed - which are usually egg or bunny related. Might be to run around the circle with a raw egg on a spoon. Or hop around like a bunny, or eat chocolate Easter Eggs with a knife and fork. Scavenger Hunts are always popular, my brother is brilliant at coming up with cryptic clues. He sometimes does an adult's version and a kids version if we are away for the whole weekend. Easter Bonnet decorating. We buy a stack of cheap hats or cardboard hats from our local $2 shop and have heaps of crepe paper or tissue paper, pipe cleaners, craft bits, tinsel etc and have a great time decorating our bonnets or hats. Then of course we have to have an Easter Parade! And of course egg and spoon races - or an obstacle course you have to complete while carrying a raw egg on a spoon. Another good Easter Party Activity is an Easter Quiz - one of my other brothers is good at doing these, and he usually has us in teams, and has different rules for answering a question - so one question can only be answered by a 6 year old, or the answer has to be acted out and the rest of their team has to guess. One year we ran an alternative Olympics - where we had heaps of group games or team games where the aim is having fun, not winning or loosing. I'd love to hear your ideas of Easter Games or Party ideas, I'm probably the least creative of us all, so I end up resorting to making Easter Cupcakes or something! Have fun with your family over Easter!

Dr. Rosina McAlpine is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, and has received numerous awards for her work in education. Her program is a holistic approach to child development spanning 7 key areas of life. I think this is a great resource for busy Moms - it takes ages sifting and sorting what your child needs, or finding a great activity that has a good learning focus for your kids. It covers all bases, and makes it easy to spend quality time with your kids, knowing they are learning valuable skills that will be with them for life. Life Skills For Kids would also make a great resource for homes-schoolers.

In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love. Featured SponsorWall Candy Art
