If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

This book is beloved by all four of my children, from ages 2-22. My oldest was home fairly recently to visit, and took his copy out of his baby keepsake box, to take home with him.

The storyline is about a little mouse who upon getting a cookie, needs a succession of things to go with it... such as a glass of milk, which leads to something else he is reminded of wanting or needing. And so on and so forth.

The illustrations are the most comical I've seen, with the pictures depicting the mouse in true-to-life situations that are embellished in the drawings; such as holding his throat dramatically when noticing his thirst (we've all seen our kids do that).

In every way, this book is an A+ selection that you cannot go wrong with, whether you have a girl or a boy to whom you are reading.

Even Adult Kids Still Love it!

I love that your 22 year old son came home and read it, and took it with him! That surely is a mark of a book that has created some wonderful memories.

Thanks for your review!

Click N Kids would have to be one of my subscribers most popular programs, and from what they say, it is mostly because the kids have fun while they are learning. In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love.
