7 Laws of Attraction
I've broken the Law of Attraction down to what I call the 7 Laws of Attraction.
For parents, or anyone who is wanting to consciously create, each law is discussed in greater detail below.
7 Laws of Attraction
- Law One: Like attracts like.
- Law Two: What you focus on expands and is magnetized and drawn to you.
- Law Three: Chronic or consistent thinking increases the magnetic pull.
- Law Four: Emotions increase the power of attraction.
- Law Five: Gratitude increases the power of attraction.
- Law Six: Synchronization and Connection.
- Law Seven: Influence and responsibility.

Law One
Like Attracts Like
This is the laws of attraction at it's simplest. When you break anything down, it
all becomes energy, which is vibrating. So energy vibrating at the same rate will
gather together. Our thoughts are just energy, so when we think about something
fairly frequently, we are gathering more of that energy to us.
Law Two
What You Focus on Expands and is Magnetized to You

When you focus on something you are adding power to it and because you are
vibrating at that same frequency that energy is going to be drawn to you. So if
we are focusing on our kids not being respectful, or being untidy, or being
bullied, or having allergies, we are contributing to increasing that energy.
I had a realization about that with my children when they were young.
My son was diagnosed very early as
dairy and wheat intolerant, so of course I read a lot about healthy food for kids
and food allergies. Then, my daughter also developed a wheat allergy! I finally
realized I was contributing to it all, and in fact creating a whole new set of
problems for them! Issues about being different, about not fitting in, because
they had to eat all these unusual foods. When I relaxed about it all (without
going to the other extreme) their allergies stopped being such a problem.
Law Three
Chronic or Consistent Thinking Increases the Magnetic Pull
With the 7 laws of attraction, I label chronic thinking as those thoughts we are
having unconsciously, when we are not paying attention to what we are thinking
- then are surprised when we get results we don't like! So, if you are not
receiving what you want, then I suggest, you are chronically focusing on the
wrong things!
We can help to shift that by practicing consistent conscious thinking. Just as in
my example of attracting more food allergies and issues for my children, when I
started focusing on them being happy and healthy, we started to attract a
different result. It doesn't happen immediately, but over time, little by little
the energy shifts.
Law Four
Emotions Increase the Power of Attraction.
When our thoughts have little emotional attachment, they have less power.
conversely, when we feel grumpy and tired, and then start thinking more and more
about how tired we are, you get to the point of feeling exhausted!
Our emotions affect our physical body, when you are thinking negative stuff about
yourself, and feeling miserable and depressed, you are likely to be hanging your
head, hunching your shoulders, dragging your feet. When you feel hopeful or
excited or enthusiastic about something, you are likely to have your head up, be
bouncing around, shoulders back.
You can help to lift your emotions by changing your physical state.
If you are grumpy and tired and feeling negative towards your kids, then jump up
and do a grumpy dance, over-exaggerate the feeling, act it out in high drama. I
guarantee, you will start laughing at yourself and your kids are likely to love
playing along with you.
When focusing on laws of attraction, it is really important to notice feelings.
There is no point in beating yourself
up because you are tired or grumpy - that just increases the negative vibration!
Those feelings are giving you a message. They
are showing you what you are chronically thinking about, or they are giving you a
message that you need to take better care of yourself.
When we deliberately are wanting to attract something into our life, if you
attach emotion to the desire, then you speed the manifestation up. Just saying I
have a fantastic relationship with my teenager son, is not nearly as powerful as
adding some positive energy and emotion to it. If you don't currently believe you
have a great relationship, then attach the feelings of love you had for him as a
tiny baby, or remember the fun times you have shared.
It doesn't even matter if
you attach feelings about something completely different. You might remember and
get in touch with powerful, positive feelings from when you were a kid, or even
from something you love doing now. If you want a more peaceful relationship with
your daughter, get in touch with the times you felt really peaceful and connected
and overlay thoughts of your daughter into that.
Law Five
Gratitude Increases The Power of Attraction

Of all the 7 laws of attraction, this one has to be the most powerful. If we
consistently and consciously focus on being grateful for what we do have then we
increase the power of attraction towards what we want tenfold.
As long as we are complaining about our kids behaviour or lack of money or hating our
jobs, we are going in the other direction of manifesting our dreams. However it
is sometimes really hard to be grateful for something you currently have when you
want something very different. Just ease yourself into it. Little by little.
For
example
Even though I want a better job, I love that I have a paycheck at the
end of the week.
Even though I want my son to tidy his room, I love that he
dried the dishes last night.
Even though I want to be healthier, wasn't it great
that I went for a walk with the kids yesterday.
The more you can focus on what is
working and what you do love about your life, or your kids or your spouse, you
get more of it, and it gets better!
Law Six
Synchronization and Connection
When we are focused and on track and putting out positive intent and expectation,
all sorts of things fall into place. Laws of Attraction in Action!
People appear who can help us, someone might
offer to babysit the kids while you go to the Gym. A book appears that is just
what you needed to learn. Someone will say something out of the blue that just
resonates.
When we set goals, we have a tendency to have a fixed outcome in mind. Our little
brains cannot comprehend the gazzillions of possibilities there are out there.
The more open you are to noticing the multitude of ways the universe delivers to
you the more you will realize there is such a wealth of opportunities passing us
by every minute. You might get something completely different to what you were
expecting, but it will more than likely be so much better than you could
have dreamed up.
The other important point about connecting with other people and resources is
that you then have compounding energy flowing towards your dreams. So it becomes
like a snowball effect. Gathering people and quotes and ideas in line with your
desire is concentrating the energy.
Law Seven
Influence and Responsibility
The final of our 7 Laws of Attraction, is realizing our thoughts and energy are
contributing to the whole. We aren't just these funny little beings vibrating
away in isolation! So we have a responsibility to be mindful and respectful of
what we put out.
Sure we all need to have a grumble and stomp around for a few minutes to let off
steam, but if you are chronically yelling at your kids or always telling yourself
you are not a good enough parent, or moaning about the economy, you are also
contributing to it all.
We all have a responsibility for the thoughts we put into the world, we are not
just creating our own experience, we are creating what is happening around us.
Most of us will have had an experience of being influenced by a group of people,
where you felt fine before the conversation, but after 30 minutes of talking
about all the terrible things happening in the world, you come away feeling
depressed!
I'll go out on a limb here. Even many people who are doing wonderful work for
change are often caught up in a fight to change something. On one hand they are
fundraising to feed children in refugee camps, but on the other they are fighting
to bring people's attention to the plight of starving children. This is really
tricky! Of course I am not saying it is a waste of time sending money to feed
starving children - or that the fundraiser has created the situation, but I will
say, that they are contributing to continuing the vibration.
From the point of view of aid, it has been proven over and over, give a man a
fish and his family will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he can feed his
family for a life time. There are some wonderful groups around that seed money
for micro businesses, often women, who can then set themselves up with a fruit
stall, or with a sewing machine. These contributions are a positive long term
solution. (I'll cover some of them in future articles).
Of course it is always good to do good. But if you can do good, with an awareness
of building something better, rather than focusing on what is horrific or
miserable, then you are contributing on a higher vibrational level too.
