Louise HayI remember reading Louise Hay's Heal Your BodyIn Australia we call her the the Grandmother of self help and the media has even dubbed her the closest thing to a living saint! She certainly had a big influence on my work, and I have refined and use many of her tools with my clients and in workshops over the years.
Having just put up two pages teaching my readers how to use affirmations in a powerful way, I had to pay tribute to one my early inspirational teachers.
Affirmation page links:
Louise L Hay has devoted her life to teaching others about conscious creation. She had a traumatic childhood, having been raped at only five years old, and suffering an abusive upbringing. In later years she was diagnosed with cancer, and this was the real test in putting what she had learnt and taught into practice for herself.
Louise knew that anger, resentment and rage has an impact on the body and she focused her attention on loving and healing herself with the help of alternative treatments, affirmations, visualizations and clearing techniques. After six months, without surgery or conventional medical treatments, there was no longer any trace of cancer in her body! Louise Hay is a beautiful example of her own work, an inspiration to many over years through her books, running workshops and teaching others how to apply her principles.
Louise is now focusing on inspiring Elders in our community, and valuing the
wisdom of the older generation. In native cultures, aging is valued and revered,
in the west we strive to do everything to prevent aging and our elderly folk are
largely invisible.
Louise L Hay Books
Hay House Publications, publishes many wonderful inspirational books (I'd be
really happy to have all of them in my library!) Below are brief reviews of several of Louise Hay's
inspiring books.

All is well in my world.
Louise Hay
One of my favorite quotes
I treat myself as if I am someone who is deeply loved.
All kinds of events come and go; yet, through it all, my love for myself is constant. This is not being vain or conceited. People who are vain or conceited have a lot of self-hatred covered over by a layer of "I'm better than you." Self-love is simply appreciating the miracle of my own being. When I really love myself, I cannot hurt myself, and I cannot hurt another person. To me, the answer to world peace is unconditional love. It begins with self- acceptance and self-love. I no longer wait to be perfect in order to love myself. I accept myself exactly as I am, right here and now
