Great Children's Book - Matilda by Roald Dahl
Matilda is a really good book to read by far. The story is based on a girl called Matilda, who is very intelligent but has a very bad family and tries to not mingle with them but will she succeed? Well, Matilda has such a great desire for reading at the age of only three she asks her Dad for a book and gets asked, "why does she needs a flaming book?" Her father, Mr Wormwood completely hated books but loved the television and so did his wife, and son, Micheal. Their favourite TV show is "Get Sticky With Micky". Matilda completely hated Get Sticky With Micky, and once when she was forced to watch it, she got so angry that she almost turned dark red and within 10 seconds the television blew up. From that day on Matilda found that she had Powers! So whenever someone would annoy her she would take revenge upon them such as when she got in trouble for reading during family TV time. She using a walking stick, got hold of her father’s hat and plastered it with strong, sticky super glue. This left Mr Wormwood bald and patchy. There was also another disaster where she changed the colour of her father’s hair dye to blond. She did this because she got in trouble for answering a question that Mr Wormwood has asked Michael. He took so long to answer, Matilda, who had worked it out in her head, butted in and gave the correct answer. With her powers, Matilda gets up to all sorts of things to get back at people who are mean to her. This book is fun! |

Dr. Rosina McAlpine is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, and has received numerous awards for her work in education. Her program is a holistic approach to child development spanning 7 key areas of life. I think this is a great resource for busy Moms - it takes ages sifting and sorting what your child needs, or finding a great activity that has a good learning focus for your kids. It covers all bases, and makes it easy to spend quality time with your kids, knowing they are learning valuable skills that will be with them for life. Life Skills For Kids would also make a great resource for homes-schoolers.

In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love. Featured SponsorWall Candy Art
