My Dog Eats Peas by Tonya Neumeister

by Tonya Neumeister
(Westminster, MD USA)

My Dog Eats Peas is a heart-warming story about a 2nd grade boy and his dog. It teaches children the utmost important life lesson of being honest and true friendship.

In the story the boy decides to feed peas, his least favorite food, to his dog. This goes on for a while until his furry friend becomes ill.

The boy is left with having to choose between telling the truth and helping his furry friend or keeping his secret to himself and risking the chance to go to the carnival.

You will be amazed how it all works out in the story. Children and parents will fall in love with the boy and his furry Labrador friend.

Great Story

Thanks Tonya,
It is a great story, I came across, "My Dog Eats Peas", just a short time ago, and loved it.

A great way to teach a life lesson to children as they absorb the story.

May you write many more!

Fun Reading with a lesson
by: Wanda Wilson

Tonya,
What a fantastic story! I enjoyed it just as much if not more than my daughter. “My Dog Eats Peas “, took me back to when I used to feed my dog “Bunky” from the table. I had my daughter's full attention from beginning to end. I even got a "Mommy read it again.” The story successfully presented two valuable lessons and was prelude to some excellent dialogue on telling the truth. We look forward to reading your next book.

Click N Kids would have to be one of my subscribers most popular programs, and from what they say, it is mostly because the kids have fun while they are learning. In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love.
