One of the Best Educational Toys is ZOOB
by Sandra S. Corona
Zoob Cube - Basic Zoob Pack
We Love ZOOBS! From the zoob mobile racer set to basic zoob building sets, our parent reviewers reckon Zoob is one of the best educational toys. What do you think? Add your comments below. ZOOB allows free reign of one's imagination and creativity, is suitable for many ages and both sexes.
The pieces are hard, colorful and unbreakable yet there are no sharp edges. It requires hand eye co-ordination and physical manipulation which is essential for youngsters ... especially the disabled. Our grandson, blind with cerebral palsy, loves ZOOB. Even though he's now a teenager ZOOB has held his attention. The combinations are endless! He and his 4 1/2 year old sister make bugs and play together despite their age difference. It's fun, has visual appeal and encourages social interaction between those playing with it. Children learn balance, co-ordination, building and math concepts. It's portable, holds up to outdoor exposure and play when go camping. The bright colors help us find any scattered parts. I recommend every child be exposed to ZOOB! Zoob Constructions
by Bridie
Zoob Creative Kit
We love Zoob! It is a really creative construction toy, with all sorts of interesting joints tubes and wheels that can build all kinds of things. Each kit will make a variety of Zoobs, and then if you have other kits then you can build some pretty amazing constructions. We have got the Zoob Spider, The Bike and the Zoob mobile car designer, and the Zoob mover. You can get basic starter kits, or kits that make up something. I would also recommended you get some creative kits to add extras to a basic Zoob construction. Kids can even cut their own shapes in one of the creative kits.
You can get zoob for junior that I think can be added into the older zoob as they get older. They can build all kinds of weird and wonderful things from monsters to vehicles. My kids all prefer Zoob to Lego, I think because it is more flexible, and you can build moving parts or creative monsters, whereas with Lego - which they still love - they tend to build buildings, unless it is actually a kit that builds a ship or something. Once they have made the initial Lego construction, it gets combined with all the other Lego, and then mostly ends up being buildings again. They certainly are far more likely to get out Zoob over Lego. Maybe that will change as they get older, I can imagine Lego being something older kids would still use. My kids are 3, 5 and 8. I'll have to take a photo of their next creations and send it in! |
Annie RecommendsThere is so much confusing information out there about parenting, it can be hard to know how to cover all bases. If you are worried about your child's development in some areas, or want some ongoing expert parenting tips, then check out Dr Rosina's Inspired Children - Life Skills for Kids. She has a carefully designed membership program that will give you activities and advice, delivered to your inbox each week/fortnight (depending upon membership level). Each activity is designed to help your child develop key life skills like good self esteem, managing emotions and behaviour, health, nutrition, dealing with bullying and so much more.
Benefits for Parents
Dr. Rosina McAlpine is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, and has received numerous awards for her work in education. Her program is a holistic approach to child development spanning 7 key areas of life. I think this is a great resource for busy Moms - it takes ages sifting and sorting what your child needs, or finding a great activity that has a good learning focus for your kids. It covers all bases, and makes it easy to spend quality time with your kids, knowing they are learning valuable skills that will be with them for life. Life Skills For Kids would also make a great resource for homes-schoolers.
Featured SponsorClick N Kids would have to be one of my subscribers most popular programs, and from what they say, it is mostly because the kids have fun while they are learning. In fact they don't even realize they are learning! Click N kids are using the Looney Tune Characters now in their phonics program, which of course kids just love. Featured SponsorWall Candy Art
